KB976382 kills ability to create com-addins using older tools - HE

For that past decade, we have been using a nice little feature that was part
of the Office 2000 developer tools that allowed you to build com-adds for in
vba and compile them to a dll. Worked like a dream for all versions of office
up to and including office 2007 but is seems like KB976382 released in the
last couple of week or so breaks this functionality.

KB976382 cannot be removed via windows installer, leaving me with dozens
of legacy add-ins I can not longer maintain. Is there any way to remove this
update or is there an equiviant tool I don't know about (short of converting
all the add-ins to VB6 or .net)

I have found a work around!

On machines with office 2007 install un-installed KB 976321 (the office 2007
version of KB976382 ). it will put back the old version of vbe6.dll

For Office 2003, obtain the old version of the vbe6.dll(dated 25/08/2008
V6.5.10.40) from above and copy to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\VBA\VBA6 and re-register it with regsvr32
