Hi Katrina,

you can do so with a Custom Arrangement. Click on View>Arrange By>Edit
Custom Arrangements. Create a new CA that looks as follows:

Group items by: Flag Status
Sort groups by: Flag Status - Flagged on Top
Sort items within groups by: Sent - Newest on top
Default display for groups: Expanded

Hit OK, close the CA window, and when back in the main window, click on
View>Arrange By>[name of your new CA].

I created this custom arrangement, twice, and while the flagged items are on top, the remaining items are arranged with oldest on top.

Microsoft Entourage 2008
version 12.2.3

Any thoughts?

I am trying to have the flagged stay on top of each day's group of emails, so I want them first, then the remaining emails, newest first. Here is the arrangement:

Group items by: sent
Sort groups by: sent, newest on top
Sort items in group by: flag status, flagged on top
Default display for groups: Expanded

Why not just make a custom Mail view for Flagged only? Drag the view to the
Favorites bar and it's easy to see Flagged messages in any folder.

Select Mail Views in the folder list. This puts you in an edit window where
you can see the default views and add a new view. Flagged might be a default
view.

I did what the original post suggested and it worked like a charm for me and I am sooooo grateful for the help!
