"Keep Messages on Server" option missing

Office XP - in Account set-up, the option to keep messages on server for x
number of days is completely missing. I've reloaded the program and selected
to run all from disk, restarted, and still that option is not there. Any help?

So are you really using a POP e-mail account type?
