Keeping email account settings

I am rebuilding my machine and would like to avoid re-entering the 8+ email
accounts I have setup in Outlook right now.

I also would like to have a backup somewhere so they're easy to restore the
next time Windows crashes.

From what I've googled, this is no longer possible, but I thought I'd ask
just in case someone has any ideas.

Your accounts are your mail profile which is kept in the registry in the key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\WIndows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
Messageing Subsystem\Profiles. Conceivable you can exort that key from the
Registry and import it on the other machine. It's possible that Office's
Save My Settings Wizard may be an option as well, but I'm not familiar with
all that it saves.

Woot! The MS Office "Save My Settings" utility worked great.

Now if only they had some sort of control on the resolution of what
settings you were saving/restoring...

Sorry 'bout the multipost.

Thanks,
