Keeping it simple

J

Jim Scott

I am trying to keep my site as near to 'textbook' HTML (not the correct
term , but you know what I mean). I guess it means I will not use FP to
it's full potential, but I would like to drive correctly before I enter F1
racing. I am not fully up to speed on correct markup language so I want to
stop FP taking over, until I get better.
When I first used it I used auto-thumbnail links and tried to get it to add
navigation bars and the like, getting myself into all sorts of a mess, to
the extent that I dumped FP, learned some hand coding and tried other
applications.
I want to use FP again not least for its FTP virtues but also because I
like its WYSIWYG style.
So, to the point of my ramblings.
Assuming that I know basic HTML and can use css, and I can validate a page
with W3C. What properties of FP should I disable for now so that I can not
get into trouble (until I'm ready)
My site is http://freespace.virgin.net/mr.jimscott so you can see the level
I have reached and the type of site it is.
