Keeping Users Toolbar Preferences, even on shared workbooks

Everytime I open a shared workbook last saved by my
coworker who likes to display different toolbars than i
do, I end up with his toolbars on my screen.

I assume that at some point those toolbars are associated
with the file? How do I override any toolbars associated
with the .xls to only display the ones I have chosen for
my system?
