KERNEL32.dll Error using Report Wizard

I am currently running Access2000 and Windows ME.
Whenever I try and develope a report using the report
wizard, I receive msaccess has caused an error in
KERNEL32.dll. When I click okay, the program shuts down.
I have tried an uninstall and reinstall but it did not
help. Is there a conflict with ME and access2000?
