keyboard error

My wifes keyboard at work does not allow her to type. It just beeps each time she hits a key. Unfortunately she does not have any IT support, as they are a local charity. Can anyone help please.

Some keyboards can be physically locked.

This is also the symptom of a current virus. Have you checked with an up to
date virus scanner?
