Keyboard numbers - act as arrow kwys

My external keyboard keypad numbers act as arrow keys. I can't find any preference, toggle or anything else that may have caused this.

Can someone assist?

Did you toggle the numlock? The method varies, but a common key combo is
to press Shift-Clear on the numeric keypad.
