keyboard problems

My keyboard won't type in documents (on powerpoint, word
or excel) but will work elswhere, even elswhere in the
program. It had been working fine and I can't think of
anything I've done since then for it to stop working.

Any ideas?

Are you sure that there isn't a dialog opening somewhere behind the
applications taking focus away? I've not seen this problem reported at all
and if it isn't a bad keyboard it is hard to guess what else it may be. Is
it a USB keyboard and you have a USB driver conflict? There's just too many
possibilities. But it definitely isn't Word.
