Keyboard Shortcut for...

R

Ragdyer

Don't know if this is actually considered a shortcut, but if you look at the
menu bar, you'll see that *every* menu selection has a letter underlined.
This means that the particular menu can be accessed by holding the <Alt> key
and typing the underlined letter.
ALSO, most of the submenus have the same feature.

SO ... for "PrintPreview", just use,
<ALT> <F> <V>

I'm not aware of one for "left align".

But following the above conditions,
<ALT> <O> <E>, will take you to the cell alignment window, where you can
adjust to "left", but I'm sure a click on the toolbar icon would be much
easier and quicker, even if you have to leave the keyboard and grab the
mouse.

As far as I know (& as RD suggested) they don't exist. However, if this is
*real* important to you ...

Rightclick the "Align Left" button & choose Customize from the pop-up menu.
Ignoring the Customize dialog, rightclick the "Align Left" button again in
the background. Edit the name to "&Left" (without the quotes), then click on
"Text Only (Always)". Close the Customize dialog. In all probability you
won't already have L as an accelerator so ALT+L should work from there.

You can do the same for Print Preview using the name "&Prev" to give a ALT+P
shortcut.

In MacXL, left align is CMD-L, while print preview doesn't have a native
shortcut - I've forgotten whether there's an equivalent in WinXL,
preferring to use the formatting palette instead. In MacXL v.X and 2004
you can create just about any shortcut you want for any XL command - I
assigned CTRL-alt-p to print preview.
