keystroke to type the Ø symbol

I use the Ø symbol on spreadsheets to specify a zero nimber from an O letter.
Can I assign a keystroke to type the symbol in a document?

if you hold down alt and type 0216 on the numpad you will get that character
which is an extended letter used in Scandinavia

The best way would be to format your cells to use the Terminal font, whose 0 has a line - then you
can still do math on the numbers.

Interesting! I had never used Terminal since it is not TrueType but some
of the allowed larger sizes like 10.5 point could be useful.

You could also use google to search for a slashed zero font.

Remember that if you share the workbook with others, then they'll need to have
that font installed, too.
