Keystrokes not working properly

Office 2003 Standard. Keystrokes work in every program
except Word. Ctrl-Home does not take you to top of the
page, etc. Is there a way to reset the keystrokes or do I
need to reinstall the Word portion of 2003?

On the General tab of Tools | Options, clear the check boxes for both items
that refer to WordPerfect. But note that Ctrl+Home will take you to the
beginning of the document, not the top of the page.

thank you, thank you, thank you. i tried everything, i thought, including reinstalling Word, but could not get my keystrokes to work properly. this did it.
