keystrokes repeat erratically

I have a very curious problem when typing email messages in Outlook 2007. In
the middle of typing, I momentarily lose control of the keyboard and one
keystroke will suddenly repeat itself in the text as many as 10-20 times or
more - almost as if a key has stuck. Any further key strokes entered during
this mayhem will not register until the repetition has stopped.
As a result I keep having to delete all the repeated characters (which could
be any, including returns) and retype sections of the message. All very
frustrating!
I thought it might be my keyboard, but this doesn't happen in any other
program requiring typing.
Any thoughts please?

I had the exact same thing happen in Outlook 2007 and I'm trying to figure
out what causes this and how to fix it. When typing an e-mail message, a
keystroke will start moving across the screen automatically and keeps going -
I have to end the program to stop it. I thought it was a stuck key, but it
happens both when my laptop is docked and undocked. Did you find a way to fix
this? It's very frustrating and any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The problem seems to have cleared up, but I haven't done anything to solve it
myself. I can only assume that it was my keyboard after all - I've been using
a keyboard which I tried to clean using computer wipes. I think some of the
'juice' from the wipes got behind the keys and it just took a very long time
to dry out completely. In fact I stopped using the keyboard for a month or
so, and it was better whenI returned to it. That probably doesn't help you
very much though, Prima1!
Cheers
