We are about to revamp our corporate templates for Word
2003, and I was curious to see what bugs were still
relevant. I was suprised that I could no longer find
reference to two known issues, which still plague us in
Word2000 (perhaps inherited from the original Word95
templates).
1) Any customization to tab and margin settings for the
TOC causes the tabbing to malfunction when the heading
content is shorter than a minimum number of characters
(around 5).
2) Paragraph border for a TOC entry does not appear if
there is no child TOC entry after it. e.g., if
our "chapter" does not contain a Heading2, then the
Heading1TOC entry will not display/print the line above
defined for that style.
Anyone know if these issues are still kicking around, or
if they've been resolved? Any other gotchas I should
watch out for?
