Label alignment?????

Despite using a predefined label size Avery L7163, The label wizard reports
an error 'some items may not be displayed' ish
In the design view the labels are shifted right on the page + margins dont
look right + the bottom row of labels are completely missing (shifted on to
next page)

The paper size is A4 so i cant figure why it got this in such a pickle??

Haven't even attempted printing because it's so obvious misaligned

It could be a printer issue. Printers have certain minimum margins. When
those minimum margins are greater than the wizard's settings, things get moved
around.

You can try moving things around to see if you can manually adjust the print
positions.

If possible change your default printer and then try setting up the label
report again. A different printer may have different margin settings.

Tried 3 printer settings and report is still screwed

Would you be able to confirm L7163 does actually work and it is a problem my
end, rather than Access problem (maybe they put the wrong sizes in?)
I would prefer to use Avery L7163 preset (because thats the label we use)
but if push comes to shove I would make a custom design

I noticed the margin settings are left 4.67 and right 7.62 - I've never
heard seen avery labels sheet with odd margins
Also notice there is clearly enough room for the bottom row of labels but
it wont use the space
It's very weird
Is there anyway to import correct label settings into Access?

Label works fine in MS Word so I can only conclude that the Access label
sizing is wrong

Try playing with the margin settings. See if you can "correct" them to what
they should be in the report.

I created a very simple sample.
My margins in inches were
Left .184
Right .3
Top .625
Bottom .625

Columns
# of Columns: 2
Row Spacing: 0
Spacing: .1
Width: 3.9
Height: 1.5

Detail Height was 1.5 inches
Form Width: 3.9

Hope this helps

You have to realize that Access doesn't care about the actual label
numbers, but only about the label layouts. There are dozens of 3x10
label numbers, and a layout that works for any one of those will
work for all the others. So, you don't need the exact label number,
just one that has the same number of labels in the same
configuration.

I'm confused already - I've never seen a label in my life (used millions)
with different left/right margin - what am I missing here?
