Label layout, graphics, and printing

My wife makes homemade labels, where all labels on a sheet are the same.
The label is primarily one or more graphics, and some include a textbox
and/or wordart.

I haven't done a lot with labels, but I'm thinking there has to be an
easier way:

When updating a label set, she has to go through and update all 30+ labels
on a sheet (fix one, then copy/paste 29+). Some sheets have up to 60+
labels. Is there an easier way to update one label, then automatically set
the whole sheet to be the same as that one label?

We've also had a problem with different printers offsetting label templates
by different amounts- but not the same amount per customized label, which
makes me think that the printer drivers may interpret the graphics
differently and adjust the size of the first label margins a little (or
maybe it is what overlaps outside the label that throws page margins),
which throws off the whole page. Are there any tips/tricks to make sure the
template isn't affected by whatever is put in it?

TIA,
Keith

Word is not the best tool for labels with graphics. Publisher makes the job
much simpler - but see http://www.gmayor.com/graphics_on_labels.htm .
If you create the label in one cell, copy to the clipboard then select the
table and paste, all the cells will be filled with the clipboard content.
If working with custom label layouts create a new document from the label
wizard. Add borders to the resulting table and print. Overlay the print on a
label blank and adjust the cell and margin sizes until they line up.
