Label Printers: simple to use from Access? Print via VBA etc

Any label printers out there that are relatively simple to config for
use with Access 2000? Some clients do a lot of label printing and it's a
pain for them to keep track of how many have been used on a 8.5x11 sheet
etc. Printing would be initiated via code, and the label printer would
probably not be the default printer.

Do modern label printers have special software, or do some versions of
windows cover the driver end? One problem is that the site has just
about every OS know to Richmond, from XP to w98.

Thanks

It would have to be a dot matrix printer that used roll-type labels.

I'm scoping out the dymo site right now, but maybe you have some first
hand experience with these? Will I be able to print labels as a
"report" in Access, like I do now with 8.5x11 label sheets? IE, the dymo
printer appears as just another printer, and it's simply a matter of
printing to it?
