Label report format changes

Hi,
I have a continious form which gets its data from one table. The form shows
names and a check box for each record. There is also a commond button which
previews a "Label" report selecting records where the check box is checked.
In testing I turn on and off the check boxes and click on the command button.
If I keep going back and forth from form to report using the command button
and the report "close" button, sooner or latter the label report comes up
with only one column of labels instead of 3 across. If I change the page
setup back to 3 columns everything is fine for a while and then i'm back to
one column.
Can someone tell my why or how the format gets changed and how to solve my
problem?
