Labels: Create for all to use

Linda

Hi there. In WP one had a lable file that you could
copy/send to any user to save and use. In MS creating
labels means that it updates the normal.dot file.
How must I go about to be able to create all forms of
labels and have it at a central point where all can use it
or even mail a file to them?

I think what you're describing is a label template. A couple of points:

1. Label definitions are found at Tools | Envelopes and Labels.

2. You can create custom label definitions. I believe these are stored in
the Registry.

3. Having created labels (using either a built-in or a custom definition),
you can save them as a document or template (press the New Document button
in the dialog for a sheet of labels).

4. For more on creating a template, see
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Customization/CreateATemplatePart1.htm. A
template can be stored in the Workgroup Templates folder, where it will be
accessible to all on the network.
