labels printing problem

I am not sure if this is a good community to post my
problem: I have just had my new Office 2003 pro installed.
When I tried to print a page of return address labels I
have noticed that the vertical pitch of the labels is a
bit smaller than the selected Avery template requires. As
the result, at the bottom of the page, the labels are
shifted by about half of the label height. I have never
had such a problem with my old Word 97. Has anybody heard
about such a problem with Word 2003, or is it only my own
freak of (computer) nature?
Could it be a printer - computer communication problem? A
printer problem? Or what?

Assuming that your printer and the Word program aree singing from the same
hymn sheet ie. Both have the page size settings set to the same figure and
that the zoom settings in the print dialog of Word are set to no scaling,
then the problem will probably be with the printer driver. See if there is a
driver update and esp. if the printer is an HP laserjet - checkout

Thank you Graham,

You have helped me to solve the problem. Following your
hints I have noticed the box "Allow A4/letter paper
resizing" in Print/Options checked. Unchecking it has
solved the problem. I haven't seen this option in older
versions of Word.

Thanks again, Jan
