Labor vs Material resources

Has anyone every figured out how to display labor and material resources
separately for summary tasks? Please read this several times to make sure
you understand what I am asking before you respond. I actually do not think
this is possible in Project (which is nuts - this seems so basic), but maybe
someone has found a way to do this.

Task Usage View
Create a group as follows

Group By Outline Number Task Ascending
Then By Resource Type Assignment Ascending

Check on Group Assignments, not tasks
