Language of installation not supported

I have Office 2007 Pro on XP SP3. I have purchased the Korean Language Pack
for Office 2007. It fails to install with the following error:

"The language of this installation package is not supported by your system."

Am I to enable something first? There were no instructions with the
downloaded exe(from Microsoft).

I purchased 3 licenses and would really like to be able to get this working
asap. It is for the Learning Resources centre in our school.

Hi Laurie. I was on the same boat and I was able to decipher th
problem... kinda interesting so many people going into the registry etc
and once again we run into a lazy developer that can't write a prope
error message (that's my editorial).

The reason why it won't install, is because you do not have th
language checkboxes selected under Regional and Language options.

On Windows XP:

Start --> Control Panel --> Regional and Language Options

Select the second Tab, LANGUAGES

Then click on either or both checkboxes:

(X) Install files for complex script and right-to-left language
(including Thai)

(X) Install files for East Asian Languages

You will need your Windows XP CD as it will copy files from the i38
folder.

Once I had that installed and rebooted the computer, the arabi
language pack installed properly (but good luck understanding the menu
for the installation...) :)

Hope this helps.
