Ever since I loaded the upgrade to Outlook 2002 (Office
XP 2002 Standard w/regular service pack upgrades), it has
been impossible to send a large attachment, such as a
JPEG or a .DOC. Of course, as I am a writer, I need to do
this quite often.
What happens is that once the message is constructed
and 'Send' is clicked, the file begins to send, but the
readout will show 100% completed, and then decrease ---
66% sent, 50% sent, 33% sent, 5% sent. If I disconnect
the modem (dial-up 26.4Kbs), there will be 5-10 error
messages that appear, showing that the program was trying
to re-send the file over and over. If I just leave it
alone for an hour, it will send 15-20 copies of the same
message and attachment to the recipient! I have changed
the options to increase the time-out, increased the time
between auto sends, and completely eliminated the auto
send, but nothing is working. I have checked multiple
times for a virus, and keep my Trend Micro PCillian fully
up to date. The program didn't used to do this before the
most recent service pack. Help, anyone? Is there a
patch for this?
