Large File Size

I have a letterhead that contains a small picture that I
link to many document templates with the Insert/Object
command. It is saved as a word document because it also
contains text (like phone numbers). When I link this
object to my templates, the templates balloon in size.
The letterhead document is about 300k, and the templates
are usually pretty small, less than 100k. Then, when I
link in the letterhead document, each document grows to
about 3 mb. If I have to link it twice to the same
document, it becomes 6 mb, etc. While space is rarely an
issue these days, load times seem to be affected. Any
ideas on fixing this problem?

Thanks,
Gary

Why not save the whole thing as an AutoText entry and use an AutoText field
to insert it? Or bookmark it in the document and use an IncludeText field to
insert it? OLE objects are always going to vastly increase document size.
