Large Word document with Tables slows pc

Hello,

I have a large Word 97 document (25MB) with 2 Tables. The
1st table has approximately 18,000 entries and is 1,500
pages long.

When the user opens the document on their computer or
another, it takes 95% to 99% of the processing but only
when it is in a normal or maximized window. In a minimized
window, it does not take up all of the processing.

We have upgraded Word to 2000 and have applied SP3 for
Office 2000 but the problem still remains.

Do you have any ideas how to resolve this problem?
