Latest Office 07 update has crashed Word and Outlook

A couple of days ago, an update for B2TR arrived, small and quick. Outlook
continued to work same as.

Today, I tried to open a file in Word and got the message, Cannot open file
Aware97.DOT The error message. Later, when I tried to start it a
configuration utility took over and now it opens files no prob.

BUT, outlook still says, Microsoft Outlook has not been installed for the
current user [There is one only] AND, Please run setup to install the
application.

I don't mind doing it except under one circumstance, not finding out ahead
of time that it will not cure the problem.

I will appreciate any comments. Can anyone advise?

There was no update for B2TR. Can you go and back check what update you
actually installed?

Thank you Paul, for responding I must be mistaken about the update target applicattion.

Can you tell me how to review updates?

I have since completely reinstalled All of Office Beta, and run the TR. The
error message is the same.
