Word 2003 is the latest available version. Word 2004 is the latest version
for the Macintosh system.

And while the real answer to your question is out in the ether, the best
guess is that the next version of W for W won't be ready until 'Longhorn'
(next ver of Windows) appears--probably at least a year from now. Tom S
