Launch Via Website Link

I have a client who has asked me to load a Power Point presentation - which
is on a CD - onto his website. However, I cannot find a means of doing this
as the CD cannot be viewed except when in 'autorun'. I can find the file
that opens it, but there are two. The first "PPTVIEW.EXE" brings up the
folders as in Windows Explorer. One then needs to enter the file name "WER
presentation.ppt" to start the display. I cannot see how this can be done
via a hyperlink.

Does anyone know of a way I can open this PP display remotely.

I have copied the CD to its own folder on the server.

TIA for any help.

The "PPTVIEW.EXE" is the viewer that is on the CD to make sure also a User
without PowerPoint can view the file -> you will not need to have that on the
web.
Copy the PowerPoint Presentation itself "WER presentation.ppt" on the
webserver and create a hyperlink to the PowerPoint file.

Thank you, Silvain....

I have not yet uploaded to the web server as I am waiting for an upgrade to
get more space.

Running the website folder on my PC, I have tried linking to the "WER
presentation.ppt" directly but this did not work. It merely opened a cover
picture in Microsoft Office Picture Manager. Is this because I may not have
the PP viewer?

PS I'll be out for a few hours now. I won't be ignoring your replies.

Why don't you just upload your PowerPoint presentation to your clients web site and have him download it to his computer from there.

The question now is what your client wants? Should the PowerPoint file be
accesible on the website? If yes then just upload the PowerPoint file to the
websever and create a link to it on any page of the website. (-> as you do
not have PowerPoint installed on your computer you wil not able to test if
the PowerPoint can be viewed on the website).
If you want to test it... go and download the PowerPoint viewer and install
it on your client:
