Simple question (I think!)

How can I create a simple solid square so that the whole shape (not
just the outlining edge) changes color when I assign the shape to a
layer with an enforced color?

Unfortunately the layer color controls the line and text color, any
shape fill color is overridden and set to white.

OK makes sense. Workaround - just use very thick lines :)

That certainly works ! You end up with a shape somewhat larger than
expected but I suppose that can still work.

Actually, If you fill with a pattern, then the pattern will also take on the
layer color....

Not ideal for my purposes as it happens - but thanks .
