layers moving when previewed

I am new to Frontpage and have tried everything but can't figure out why my
layers move when I preview them. I have a calendar and am trying to position
a layers across the week to indicate someone is on vacation for the week.
When I go to preview the page, the layer moves. Can someone please tell me
why. By the way, I do not know HTML.

I had a feeling you would ask me for the code. How do you want me to show
you the page? Should I sent it to you or do I just past it here? Do I also
paste the code here? I am new to this discussion group too so please be
patient with me :).

What this has done is to move the 'layer' out of the table cell, and place
it directly under the body tag. Since these things are *absolutely
positioned* it doesn't matter where their code appears on the page, as long
as it's not inside something "prohibited".

This is all overwhelming to me but I'm just starting. There is so much to
learn but I hope to figure this out. I am creating an internal website so I
think I can use the fonts I used but am only "playing" with the ones I used
and nothing you saw is actually my final website. As for the layer laws, I
had no idea! My goodness, there is so much info out there. Thanks for the
website. It was good info. Now, about the new code, I think I understand
the first part and what I need to do but as far as the second part. What do
you mean about "change this code - body (and you don't say what afterwards)
and then you list a new code. Do you want me to replace all of my code that
I sent you with the new code that you list? The body?

What this has done is to move the 'layer' out of the table cell, and place
it directly under the body tag. Since these things are *absolutely
positioned* it doesn't matter where their code appears on the page, as long
as it's not inside something "prohibited".
