Recently, only when I reply or forward a message, entourage minimizes the message, so the message is only taking up have the screen. I need to constantly hit the "green" maximize button, or drag the window, so I have a full screen to view.

This doesn't occur when I start to type a new message, on when I hit reply or forward.....any suggestions on how to fix this?

I'm having exactly the same problem. I can't get the Reply screen to go back to full size and stay there.

Thanks,

Barry - FYI - Incidentally, it is the same 1/2 screen layout for a New Message and also Reply to ALL.

Thanks,

Normally, you can set a window size and location on the screen. Close the
window and reopen and it should remember it's settings. This is a Finder
function.

However....some windows will always open in the top left corner and their
size will always be set. New Message can be set. If this does not work, it's
probably a corrupt preference. To test, Go to System Preferences --> Create
a New User in Accounts. Switch to the New User by logging out/in or use Fast
User Switching. Test there. If it works, then you know it's your
preferences. You might be able to sort by date modified in the new user to
see which file.

Thanks - but I think I'll just suffer along. It only started doing this after the Update a few days ago.

Thanks Diane - I'm already running 10.5.2.

You don't get why running a combo will help. It's not just to update, but
the Combo updates will update files that could have become corrupted. The
incremental updates that you download do not go back and "refresh" older
files.

Thanks very much Diane. Tried it - set up Test Account - unfortunately same result!

Shoot! I was hoping that would give us a clue to what was wrong. I'm out of
suggestions. Maybe someone else will chime in with a solution.

are you running with your computer account set as Admin, or a normal
User?

If you aren't sure, look in the 'Accounts' section of the System Prefs -
the list of accounts should show which are Admnin and which are User.

Hi Barry - there is only one Account and it's me. I'm the Admin.

Hate to say it - but I'm starting to get used to the 1/2 screen Reply!

OK, my last suggestion and I give up. Test on another computer to see if
what you are doing and seeing is the same.
