LDAP server error

I can't connect to my companies LDAP server with entourage 2008 while it works with the 2004 version. I use the same settings, but 2008 always prompts me to reenter my account ID and password. Even our support failed to fix it and said it's a problem with the student and teacher version of entourage. Do you know this issue?

The Home and Student Edition doesn't support Exchange at all. Is that
how you are attempting to use your LDAP server??
Other than that, I don't see why settings from a 2004 version wouldn't
work in a 2008 version,
