leading *, newlines disappear

and as rendered in Outlook in some foreign countries (but using
English)

--------------------------- begin
line ONE

line TWO*line THREE*lineFOUR
--------------------------- end


Any ideas?

I also had this problem and the following fixed it.

Go to File/options/Mail/Message format
Untick "Remove extra line breaks in plain text messages."
Hit OK to complete.
