Leading zeros in an Access database?

[Leading zeros in Access database]

How do I display leading zeros in an Access database, e.g 012345 ? The field
is IDNumber and the data type is 'number'. Thanks

A number can't have leading zeros. You'd need to change the field to text.

Afraid it can, you need to amend Format of the field, eg 000000
