League Table

Brian Hazzard

I'm attempting to put together a standard football
(soccer) league table. The idea is that I'll enter team
names, fixtures and results and have the league table
update. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to go about this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for our west-of-the-Atlantic 'football' ignorance, but what is
the league table? Is that the standings, showing wins / losses / Goal
for / goals against / points? And what are fixtures?

If the league table is the standings, then take a look at Pivot
Tables. Enter your data as a database, with columns for Team,
Opponent, Won, Lost, Tied, Goals For, Goal Against, etc. You need to
enter each game twice, once for each team. Then creating the summary
is quick and easy, using the pivot table. Contact me directly if you
want a sample.

HTH,
Bernie
