Learning about Macro

Hello,
For as long as I have been using Excel, I've never made a macro. I don't
even know what they are or used for.

Can someone help?

macros are a way to automate large, labor intensive, routine tasks. tasks
that are usually repeated on a regular basis. daily, weekly etc.
macros use the language visual basic which is the language of MS OFfice.
a good place to start.......
