Lengend shows all the month even if data shows only september and

I'm using Access 2003. I have created a column chart that shows product sold
per month. The underlying query shows only sales from September to October,
bu the legend of my chart shows categories from January to December (all
empty apart of septemeber and october). Is there a way to only have the
categories for september and october, so the legend will shows only September
and october ?
