Lets try again

Bee-man

greetings all, I created and have edited my web web page
(natureswayfarm.com) with FP 2000, since 2000. My new CPU is Office XP
Professional with front page. I can't open my web exept in an FTP address. I
can see my files when I open my web this way but can't open or edit them.
Can someone direct me to a tutorial (or and overdose of sedatives) or walkme
through opening and editing my web. Is there a tutorial in the system I'm
not findint. Am I just to stupid and beyond help? A free ja of our best
honey (basswood) shipped to the person who saves me from total melt down.
Thanks, Bee-man

Give us the steps, as the step are the really the same as those used under FP2000.

If you can only open the site on the server with FTP then you don't have the FP
extensions on the server (and they are needed to publish via http mode in FP.

In order to edit them on the web, you go File > Open Web then point to the
http:// address in the field where it says "Open Web" (in the Open dialogue box).

If the FPE are installed then it will allow you in when you give your login user
details but if not, then you need to edit locally and uploaded via FTP or have
your host installed the extensions (if they support them at all).
