Letter size drawing not printing on legal size paper

I've created a Visio flowchart drawing that I want to print on legal-size
paper in landscape mode.

I can print it on legal-sized paper, and the orientation is landscape, but
the drawing itself is letter-sized with a 3" blank space on the right.

I've tried many combinations of options on the Page Setup and Printer Setup
menus, but cannot get the drawing to fit the paper size.

copy your .vsd to a new file to play with so as to not lose your original
data

in new file, setup page/print paper size to legal landscape, be sure no
"protection"s are set

select all, group, enlarge by dragging corners and holding shift key to
constrain proportions, till it fits new paper size, ungroup

you still may have to adjust some fonts to make it look correct

An alternative is to make original drawing fill screen, save as .pdf as
shown on screen, zoom in and print from pdf to legal landscape

What version of Visio are you running? Have you applied all the Service
Packs? Is your printer drivers up to date?

The latest version of Visio is Visio 2003 SP2 (take a look at the About Box
to see what you have.) The original Visio 2003 had printer problems that
were resolved in the Service Packs. Landscape printing as Letter was one of
the issues.

This doesn't work. I continue to have to drag the rightmost boundary of the
drawing past the right edge of the page to get the drawing to fit within the
printed page when I print it. BTW, when I do a Print-Preview Visio shows the
drawing dragged past the rightmost border of the page, but the actual printed
drawing itself is OK
