letter to boss advising intent to sue him over unpaid wages

I work as a real estate agent and have had to change brokerages due to the
dishonestly of the broker. He owes me several thousand dollars and yet has
the nerve to send me overdue office fee letters to my new brokerage. I want
to advise him of my intent to resolve this issue either through the real
estate board and if they will not do anything, then to take him to small
claims court.

I would appreciate any help, either free or chargeable. I have been trying
to write this letter for over a week

I would consult an attorney for this type of action. You want all your
ducks in a row and IANAL.
