leveling across all projects

Hi
I'm using Project Server and Project Pro 2002
We have over 20 projects in project server, and a great deal of
overallocated resources.
Is it possible to see resources over all projects rather than just in
the open one?
thanks

PWA - you can view each Resource under the Resource tab.
That will let you see total workload and you can drill
down to see what projects they are working on. Then you
go into Professional to modify assignments either by
changing Resources or changing dates. You can even do
dependencies between projects so that a task in Project B
can not start until a task in Project A has completed.
But I caution you, that this can create an administrative
nightmare as things will change during execution of the
project. I would only look at balancing the workload for
about a 2-3 week period and revising weekly.

Open any project and select Resource Usage view. You will see resource
allocations and overallocations for each resource assigned to this project,
and see them across all projects to which each resource is assigned.

Another approach would be to create a blank project, and then use the Team
Builder Wizard to select all of the resources whose allocation you would
like to see across the portfolio. Save this project in the Project Server
database and then apply the Resource Usage view. In this view, you will see
each resource plus a single line for each project to which they are
assigned.

Hope these additional ideas help.

Team Builder Wizard - is that the same as "build team from enterprise"?
if not, where would I find it, please?
thanks

I call it the Team Builder Wizard. It is the same as Build Team from
Enterprise.
