Leveling and deadlines

Hi

In planning a project we have used deadlines to group workpackages we
want to be finished by certain relese MS's since we dont want tons of
dependencies that aren't logic just organizational. After we have done
the logic and loaded with resources we have leveled.
And we find that the leveling function seems to take our deadline dates
into consideration because they line up very nice befor tteh deadlines.

Is this so? Would be very neat if it was....
(we have no priorities set, no fixed dates or constraints, no logic is
limiting the leveling afor most of the tasks)
Haven't been able to find any references to this in help files or
reference litterature?

Hi,

In the leveling options window, you will find a checkbox "Level Only within
available slack"
When that one is on, Leveling will respect the deadlines.
But maybe it won't be able to resolve all teh overallocations...
