Is the only way to level resources across multiple projects is setting up a
master project? I'm using project server 2003. Would the proccess, then, be:
1. check out the 3 projects, say, from project server
2. create a local master project.
3. insert projects.
4. from master project run the resoruce leveling routines from Tools/Level
Resources.
5. Make sure all 4 projects are open (which includes master project).
I assume that the tasks in all three projects will begin to move around to
alleviate overallocations, but no projects get saved.
I know there are many more things to think about in leveling, but is this
general process? Is there also a project server way of doing the same thing
without doing this on the client?
thanks.
