Leveling Resources without screwing up Timeline

Hi,

If anyone can help me. I'm using MS Project 2002 and trying to level
resources without messing up the timeline. Can anyone give me advice
on doing so?

When you use Microsoft's built-in leveling tool, the software levels in two
days: (1) delaying tasks and (2) splitting tasks. As you might surmise,
both of these results will change the schedule of the project and will
impact your planned timeline for the project. If this is not an acceptable
result, you can use one of several manual approaches to leveling, such as
replacing overallocated resources with available resources. Hope this

Tools / Level resources... / Level only within available slack / Level now
