Is it possible to upgrade a pre-installed version of Office 2003 Basic
Edition to an edition that includes PowerPoint? If so, what do I need to
puchase? (SKU#)

You would need a version released after the 2003 version. That would
mean waiting for Office 12 or Office 2007 to hit the stores.

You can purchase a standalone copy of Powerpoint 2003 to install
alongside your existing Office 2003 Basic software, or you can
purchase an Office 2003 edition that includes Powerpoint 2003.

.. Note that your Office 2003 Basic software is not a qualifying
product for upgrade to another Office 2003 edition or for a
