Licensing and new computersq

Hello,

I have Office Professional 2007 Academic that I and my wife use for college.
I understand that I am allowed to install this software on three computers. I
have it installed on two now, one of which is going to be retired. I have a
new computer and laptop which need to have this Office Pro installed. How do
I let Microsoft know that one of the installations will no longer be used? I
will have it only on three computers, one of my old and two of my new; what
do I do?

Thanks for any help.

If you take a moment to read and understand Section 2 of your
Office 2007 Software License Terms, you'll probably find that you
are licensed to install the software on only TWO computers.

The Academic edition isn't licensed for three computers, only the Home and
Student edition is. As for "letting Microsoft know one of the installations
will no longer be used", simply uninstall the software. There is no need to
contact Microsoft although you may need to call Microsoft to activate Office
if you encounter difficulty.
