Licensing -- need info on how to deactivate a license

S

Steve

I have a 3-computer license of Office 2003 Student and Teacher installed on
my two computers.

One computer's hard drive crashed, so had to re-install, which used my third
license.

Now my other computer's hard drive is failing so will need to re-install
again.

What do I need to do to install for the fourth time? And what do I need to
do to wind up with two licenses used for my two computers?

Thanks a million.

The license isn't for three installations only it is for 3 concurrent
installs, in other words onto three different computers at the same time.
You have only used two license installs and when you replace the "other
computer's" hard drive and reinstall you will still have only used two.

The only thing you may have to do is to use telephone activation if the
online activation fails.

Hope this helps, let us know.

OK, great. I assumed that MS would disallow a 4th activation.

Thanks for clarifying. Dell is supposed to replace the hard drive early
next week, so will reply with the results of the reinstall/activation.
