Licensing problem

Hi,

We bought some Sony Vaios and asked for Office 2003. They gave us Office
2003 Basic OEM but we need Powerpoint. How can we upgrade to Office 2003
Standard OEM?

Thanks,

You'll need to contact Sony support and request the
proper Office 2003 CD. Otherwise, you'll need
to purchase PowerPoint separately from a nearby
store that sells computer software.

Did you tell the Sony sales rep you needed PowerPoint? If you did, call Sony
and tell them that they made a mistake.

I would have recommended get a retail version of Office instead of OEM. Yes,
it cost more now but you could transfer the license to other computers down
the road.

BTW, what you're asking to do is not an upgrade. It would be a crossgrade
and Microsoft Office does not offer crossgrades.
