Limited Menu

Hi All,

A coworker has a new PC which came with Excel installed.
When I bring Excel up, her menu bar only has the "Help"
button. This gives me difficulty in servicing her machine
(with no "File" nor "Tool" buttons).

Under "Customize" I have seen that the option to show the
full menu bar has been checked. Yet she still only gets
the "Help" button. What could be the reason for this and
how do I overcome the dilemma? Thanks in advance.

I'd try renaming or deleting the file where intentional and unintentional
toolbar customizations are stored, Excel.xlb.

This is typically found in C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application
Data\Microsoft\Excel. Be sure Excel is closed when you try this. The user
should then get the default toolbars and menus.
